Fourth Annual Putt Putt Fore Puppies Mini Golf Tournament Returns to Lincoln September 18 to Benefit Capital Humane Society

 

GolfStatus and Dormie Network invite the community to enjoy an afternoon of mini golf while helping Lincoln’s homeless pets

LINCOLN, NE (August 12, 2026)—GolfStatus and Dormie Network are bringing back one of Lincoln’s favorite feel-good community events with the fourth annual Putt Putt Fore Puppies Mini Golf Tournament on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Adventure Golf Center.

The family-friendly fundraiser combines mini golf, local businesses, and animal lovers for an afternoon dedicated to supporting Capital Humane Society and its mission to care for homeless pets, assist pet owners, and educate the public about responsible pet care.

Since launching in 2023, Putt Putt Fore Puppies has raised more than $37,000 for Capital Humane Society. Last year’s event saw 220 participants and raised over $13,000.

This year’s event aims to build on that momentum, bringing golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters together for an afternoon of fun with a purpose.

“Putt Putt Fore Puppies has become one of our favorite traditions,” said Ashley Stahr, Chief Marketing Officer at GolfStatus and Dormie Network and tournament founder. “It brings people together to make a real difference for CHS, and we’re excited to welcome both returning participants and first-timers for another fun and memorable event.”

The event begins at 3:30 p.m., with a shotgun start at 4:30 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, participants can meet adoptable pets from Capital Humane Society while enjoying food, games, prizes, and plenty of friendly competition.

Event highlights include:

  • 18 holes of mini golf played in a best ball format across Adventure Golf’s three courses with custom 3D printed trophies awarded to the winning team on each course.

  • Player gifts including a Comfort Colors event t-shirt, an exclusive Imperial hat with the Putt Putt mascot, frisbee dog toy, pet bandana, and other golfer goodies.

  • Dinner and beverages from Certified Piedmontese are included in registration.

  • High-value raffle prizes including tickets to Henry Doorly Zoo, Lincoln Children’s Zoo, or Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, plus photography packages, gift cards to Scheels and Blue Sushi, gift baskets, merchandise packages, and many more.

  • The Paws of Fame lets pet owners show off their furry (or not so furry) friend to fellow animal lovers, with pet photos displayed on the website and signage at the event (which the owners can take home at the end of the event).

Teams and sponsors can register online now on the tournament website. The Paw Print Team Registration is $160 and the All-Star Pack Team Registration is $200 (which includes the Paw Print package plus All-In Games and 12 raffle tickets). Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals interested in supporting Capital Humane Society while gaining visibility at one of Lincoln’s most unique community fundraising events.
