At GolfStatus, we’re dedicated to helping nonprofits, charities, and other organizations hold successful golf fundraisers that power their missions.

We believe in organizing people and passions around communities and causes—golf’s longstanding tradition of charity puts it at the intersection of all four.

Our History

GolfStatus was founded in 2011. Our original focus was golf course engagement, but after identifying a gap in effective golf tournament management options for nonprofits and fundraisers, we shifted our focus to charity events in 2017. The first iteration of the Tournament Management Software (TMS) put professional, powerful, easy-to-use technology in the hands of nonprofits, enabling them to effectively plan and manage lucrative golf fundraisers at no upfront cost. The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 cemented golf’s value as a fundraising tool, and GolfStatus’ tech offered a safe option for nonprofits to raise money and connect with supporters.

At GolfStatus, we stake our success on the success of the clients we serve, offering software access to nonprofits and charities at no upfront cost. We continue to identify ways to improve our software, products, planning tools, and services to help golf tournament organizers save time and raise more money.

May 2021: The inaugural Play It Forward campaign is launched as a giveback initiative that awards a $10,000 donation to a nominated charity golf tournament.
April 2022: GolfStatus rolls out hole-in-one contest packages, giving tournaments an easy, revenue-boosting add-on.
September 2022: GolfStatus launches a free monthly webinar series, featuring expert speakers addressing golf fundraising topics.
July 2023: TMS is completely redesigned, with more intuitive workflows, additional features, and streamlined navigation.
July 2024: The GolfStatus mobile app is overhauled, featuring an updated design, elevated GPS, enhanced tournament features, advanced stats tracking, and more.
October 2024: Create a Tournament is released, giving new users the ability to dive into the software without needing to wait for a product demo.
January 2024: GolfStatus releases new golf tournament websites, with an updated design, enhanced features, additional sponsor exposure, an improved checkout experience, and more.
April 2025: New payout options are added for tournaments, including ACH transfers directly to connected bank accounts,
January 2026: GolfStatus begins offering an all-inclusive hole signage product.
February 2026: GolfStatus Rewards is announced. The program unlocks thousands of dollars in valuable rewards for tournaments that leverage GolfStatus’ suite of Fundraising Enhancers.
March 2026: A new check-in feature is released, eliminating the need for static printouts and reducing wait times at registration.
June 2026: The software’s messaging tool is updated, improving how tournament organizers communicate with participants, sponsors, and supporters.
