 3. Hole-In-One Insurance Eliminates the Risk

While it’s unlikely that a golfer gets an ace at your golf event (according to PGA of America, the odds of making a hole-in-one are 12,000 to 1), hole-in-one insurance protects your nonprofit if it does happen. In 2023, GolfStatus worked with three clients who experienced a hole-in-one at their event.

How Hole-In-One Insurance Works

  • The host golf facility will help you determine which hole or holes the contests should be held on.

  • Your nonprofit purchases hole-in-one insurance or contest package from a provider to remove the financial risk.

  • Tournament organizers can either cover the cost of the insurance or contest package or sell a sponsorship for one or all contests.

  • If a golfer gets a hole-in-one, the provider will fulfill the promised prize or prizes.

4. Easily Marketable

Promote the hole-in-one contest as part of your tournament marketing to help draw additional golfers and teams to your event. Include it on your golf tournament website, on social media, in email campaigns, and other promotional materials.
