Breaking in a New Year & December Winners
At the end of 2015, the GolfStatus staff spent some time reflecting on our progress. We took a hard look at what we did well as well as areas where we could improve. We also reached out to several of our users for feedback and were surprised by the number of highly detailed responses. So, what did we learn?
First, it is safe to say that in 2015 we were able to establish our platform as an industry-leading solution to one of golf’s biggest problems: helping courses engage with golfers, especially the next generation of golfers. Our mobile app’s easy-to-use scorecard, stat-tracking capabilities, achievement-based rewards, and deal notifications truly add value to the golf experience.
Second, with some small adjustments we have the opportunity to make our platform even better. Some of those adjustments will start right away. Others, well, you’ll just have to wait to see what we have in store. With that said, let’s talk about some immediate adjustments and congratulate some of our recent winners.
Leaderboard rewards will now be random.
Effective immediately, we will randomly select winners from the top 10 users on our monthly leaderboards, rather than awarding only the #1 spot. This means more people will have a chance to get rewarded each month.
Expect more reward opportunities from brands and local businesses interested in supporting golf and encouraging it as a healthy pursuit.
We are expanding our focus to help golf courses work with local businesses within their communities to grow the game. This means more rewards for our users.

Congrats gentleman, golf balls are on the way.
As discussed above, we had a lot of great user feedback. We randomly selected several responses and will be sending those users a thank-you gift.
Patrick Hanzel was randomly selected as our Grand Prize Feedback Winner. Patrick will receive one dozen Pro V1s. We will also send out feedback and testimonial thank-you gifts to the following users:
Corbin Van Dusen
Pablo Perie will also receive a feedback thank-you gift for a key bug report. Thanks, Pablo!
Be sure to keep a look out for new rewards and improvements.
